Here, a tranquil scene captures the River Ouse in one of it's kinder moods. The location here is a couple of miles north of the city centre, and it's a pleasant walk from home to here. I've taken this view numerous times, and the contrasts between the seasons are quite startling. In the summer, this area is popular with young people with some swimming, or using the rope swing hanging from the tree. But when this was taken I had the area to myself, a peaceful interlude after the stress of the last few weeks.
Katharine and I went to the hospital yesterday so they could check her out, and they seemed quite happy with her progress. It is going to take a considerable time for Katharine to get back to her normal level of fitness, but at the moment she is going in the right direction.
Yay about Katherine! good to have her home again
Beautiful shot of this beautiful river and banks. Fav.
Good to hear Katharine is on the mend. Time now to take it easy this Christmas and fully recover.
