An Early Sign of Spring by fishers

An Early Sign of Spring

While visiting Thirsk yesterday I had a short walk to the neighbouring village of Sowerby and was rather surprised to see snowdrops beginning to flower in the graveyard beside the church.

I can't remember seeing snowdrops in flower quite this early in the year before. I'm sure winter hasn't finished with us yet, but it is nice to think that spring isn't too far away.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, which put this shot on the Popular Page.

By coincidence, there were at least two other shots posted yesterday which showed snowdrops in flower.
