I took a short walk today onto Clifton Ings. The road that leads there was once a driveway to Clifton Hospital, a hospital for those with mental health issues. It closed some years ago, and there is a business park and housing on the hospital site now.
Many of the shrubs and bushes that were in the hospital grounds have survived, and here a rhododendron bud is bursting open and giving a splash of colour.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It's hard to overestimate how much I enjoyed my walk yesterday afternoon, though there were rather more people around than I would have liked. It may have been less than an hour, but it was really blissful!

Nature is amazing how it always seems to bounce back
