Another normally very busy part of York city centre. I'm stood in Low Petergate, looking towards High Petergate, with Stonegate to the left and Minster Gates to the right. Normally really busy with tourists, street artists, and the occasional resident, it was deserted as I walked past a few days ago. This lockdown is really strange!
Great shot and eerily quiet. I remember watching a juggler performing next to the green building and we were having to look round people to see him. These are indeed strange times.
Starting to get busy now ~ think we might be safer all back in work! Looking at the bunting earlier today there are going to be street parties tomorrow for VE Day . . .
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It is rather strange walking along streets normally full of people, but it has allowed me to record the city in a way that would otherwise not be possible. It's a great place to walk and be free to look at the buildings rather than navigating the crowds. There were some other people around, but not very many.
