Still in the Museum Gardens, but away from the edible wood and close to the Yorkshire Museum, there are still a number of varieties of flower in bloom. These are garden cosmos.
Garden cosmos (or Mexican aster) is a medium-sized flowering herbaceous plant native to the Americas. The species and its varieties and cultivars are popular as an ornamental plant in temperate climate gardens.
It is nice to see that there is still colour in the gardens.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It is getting quite hard to find flowers still in bloom, but we do now have the lovely colours of autumn.

Thank you Nina - we seem to have had quite a lot of raindrops recently!
