The very popular Christmas market in York may have been cancelled this year due to Covid-19, but the ordainary market continues to open. Some stalls, along with some shops are staying open until 8pm in the lead-up to Christmas.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav, they are very much appreciated.
We had deliberately chosen a time to go into town when we thought it would be quite quiet, but we were surprised just how quiet. It's quite a contrast to the busy scenes in the city centre reported in local media on Saturday.
Ferry, I don't know where this stall gets his flowers from, but I do know there are regular lorries from Holland delivering to another large flower seller in the city centre. I feel sad that our membership of the EU is finishing, since it brought so many benifits to our country and to other countries in the EU.
( those flowers seems to get a lot of problems after the brexit. If the came from Holland)

a wonderful night scene with perfect weather
Thank you Nina. Sadly there are not many market stalls open, and no Christmmas market this year.

Thank you Bri, but it is much quieter than usual.
