More Rain

The floods may have receeded, and the river level lowered here in York, but that wasn't the end of rain. Here, on Thursday, another Queen Elizabeth rose bud struggles to open but seems likely to become waterlogged by the rain.

Sadly, following the rain this rose bud has suffered the effects of frost - but there are still other buds beginning to open. It would be quite remarkable if thes bushes continued to flower right through to spring.
