Blossom

Lucy kindly sent me this lovely blossom shot for our project, taken as she was walking her children from their home to the local park.

I've been struggling to work out what it is. It could be blackthorn blossom, but I'm not totally convinced.

I took an almost identical picture yesterday of this pretty flower but the stamens were yellow in mine. I'm pretty sure it's a blackthorn too. A lovely spring image, fav.

The shape is close to that of the blossoms of the almond tree I showed the other day but these completely white. Very beautiful and a very nicely focused shot.

The higher temperatures of the last few days make it feel very much like spring, and there are a lot more spring flowers to see. The warm weather should last over the weekend, so hopefully we will get out and about a bit.
