I've always found the Museum Gardens in York a pleasant place to sit and relax, particularly in the recently created Edible Garden which tends to be much quieter than the rest of the gardens.
This shot was taken close to the Museum Street entrance, where a rather splendid display of tulips of various colours are on display. It forms a cheerful welcome to the gardens.
The Museum Gardens were very busy when this shot was taken. This was probably a reflection of the increased numbers of people in the city centre with the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions. In contrast the open spaces closer to home are significantly quieter than they were during the stricter restrictions. Homestead Park, Clifton Ings and Rawcliffe Lake all have fewer people than before, making them more relaxing places to go.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It is quite surprising how many colours and mixtures of colours are available in tulips now. I think the red and white mix is particularly cheerful.
