Lucy and her family had a day out last week to Legoland, Windsor, and she sent us a selection of photos. They had a lovely time there, and our grandaughter (3 years old) was in heaven. I'm not sure what her brother (almost 3 months old) made of it though, out on his big adventure!
This shot is at a railway station on the site, and the train departure looks imminent.
Legoland Windsor opened in 1996 on the site of the former Windsor Safari Park. Windsor Safari Park went into receivership in 1992. Although the park itself was making money, Themes International plc who owned it, was not.
Legoland! We have had many happy days there. When our Teenager was tiny, it was more of a Lego place and less of the rides and queuing. Now you have to queue a lot, like at Disney, but it is still a fun place to be. Brought back memories with this!
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated. Lucy will be thrilled by the response to her photo.
Legoland is a wonderful place for all ages to visit, and at the moment isn't very busy due to Covid-19 restrictions. I love the way some of the features and characters are a bit larger than life to emphasise them.
Great colourful capture
