An earlier post today, since we are expecting a visit from our daughter Lucy and her family. It is the first time we have met face to face since last August, and for the first time we will be meeting our new grandson. As you can imagine, there is great excitement here today!
Roses are amongst my favourite flowers, and this white rose is in our garden. Our roses are flowering rather late this year, and it was this white rose that produced the first flower (not the one in the photograph), and many of the others are quickly following. The only disappointment is that there have been few flowers on our Queen Elizabeth roses so far. I love their large pink blooms and am missing them.
