Farm Field Flying Fun by fiveplustwo

Farm Field Flying Fun

Hunted around for a nice corn field for this week's theme, and was so happy when I found one in the sunshine that I didn't know what else to do but jump up in the air a bunch of times ;) New Jersey is known as the garden state, and I am thankful to live near an abundance of farms and other beautiful spaces.

So nicely timed. I tried a jump shot once and they all came out blurry. Gotta try again and maybe shoot in auto or better figure out the setting.

Great freeze action Jesse.

@amandal Amanda, you may need to up the ISO for a freeze action shot such as this. I would at minimum 4x 1/ focal length. For a 50mm lens, go to 1/200 second, etc.Faster if light allows.

@bill_fe I don't have a 50, but two zooms. 15-55 and 55-200 kit lenses. I shall try again sometime and play with the ISO. The one time I did it, I had one or two shots to get it right. No time to check and fiddle. I did it in front of a group of adults and a bus full of kids. I do the dumbest things sometimes.

@amandal The example works for whatever focal length you have the lens at. Example: on your 55-200, if the lens is zoomed to 75mm you would want the shutter speed to be around 1/300 or faster.
