You'll note Quito's crazy middle toe there on the bottom paw, the result of one of her many misadventures. She loves water and loves scruffing and splashing away in it with her two front paws. About two years ago she hit sharp rock & sliced through the tendon on that toe while scruffing up the water & sand at the beach. It would have cost a couple of thousand dollars to have the tendon surgically reattached, which would have been purely for cosmetic reasons - it doesn't hinder her at all.
