New Sky Building in Ôkubo.
This one just had to come some day. One ugly bastard of a building it may be, it's still sort of cool, right? Also after having the Nakagin Capsule Tower last week, another example of metabolic architecture in Tokyo was due. This means that additional parts could be added to the building by bolting them to the main structure. I read that these were a pain to construct and adding new parts was expensive too, so the metabolic movement stopped in the 70s not so long after it had begun. I also went to the roof once and it's as creepy inside and up there as you'd think. :D
Thanks everyone. Funny enough, this building and yesterday's weather were so perfectly gray, the pic looked almost the same in colour as it does in b&w!
