Cockshoot down to Little Wood by flowerfairyann

Cockshoot down to Little Wood

We spent ages playing out in Little Wood as children and it was a great place for primroses (back in the day when you could pick them). There is also a willow bed there but it has gone wild since my father died. It's a good place for pheasants - hence the name Cockshoot. The autumn colours were showing on this damp morning.
How many Greens can you see?

Interesting to know that this is accessible - English woods are so different from NZ ones!

Beautiful little wood with what looks like a huge variety of different trees. Nice that you have fond memories this lovely place.
