Bird day today. There's a thrush using the stones in the courtyard to bash snails, swallows swooping and diving, pheasants trying not to be seen in the garden, a wagtail nesting in a pile of scaffolding poles and the crows playing tag on the roof at 5.30am. This feather is so soft and fluffy it was difficult to resist.
@roachling Haven't worked it out Louise. It's very soft and downy close in and very fine and brown on the end. I found it in the forest yesterday. Not a garden or water bird. Any ideas?
