When I took this picture last sunday, I had no idea it would be the last one I'd ever take of my dear sweet Tijgertje.
Tuesday evening when I got home from work and the horses I found him in the backyard, barely being able to stand on his feet. I took him inside and made sure he could lie down as comfortable as possible. I knew his little life was coming to an end,so I didn´t call the vet because that would cause him so much stress.
He passed away peacefully in his own basket, with me sitting by his side.
Snorretje said goodbye to him and the next morning we buried him in the garden, next to our sweet Wis.
I know Wis was waiting for him and they´´re together now.
I´m very sad but thankful for the wonderful years he was with me.
I am so sorry to hear that, it's horrible to lose a pet. But you made his passing so peaceful and comfortable; much nicer than to have had the stress of a vet visit.
@herecirm Thank you, I'm very thankful I was given the chance to be with him in his last moments. And I feel I made the right decision by not calling the vet or taking him there.I know this is how he would have wanted it.
So sorry about this news...it's so hard to lose them and you love your pets so much. Ik weet dat het al een tijdje geleden is, maar het blijft moeilijk, veel sterkte.
