Royal Python

The theme of our poetry readings at our local library today was " Animals". Someone brought her pet Royal Python along as she was reading a poem about a cobra! The texture was amazing: leathery on the top and silky underneath.

Fantastic shot Lis. Christopher had a Royal Python about 5 feet long but it escaped and was never seen again.

As you were handling it I take it that it is not venomous?

Great shot & beautifully marked snake......not sure I would get so close to a Python though !!
