Mr. Pig here. I took the squealers on the traditional visit to the St. Nicolas Day Bread Men. It took us much longer to get there than I expected, so most of them were gone, but luck was with us since there was one left. He saw us coming and kindly waited while we gamboled along the cookie path. You can't go anywhere quickly with those three (though they sure can scamper off lightning fast when you're not looking). As we approached, they caught a glimpse of the Bread Man and were terrified! They hid behind me. I reassured them, then turned and walked on ahead of them, knowing they would follow. I thought they were following. But when I looked back, I saw that they had left the path entirely and were busily eating it! My children were devouring the cookie path. The Bread Man was NOT happy about this even though the squealers said they were sorry and I paid for the damages to be repaired. I don't think the squealers were actually sorry at all and I wondered why I had forced them to apologize. Crystal blamed me, of course, since I had turned my back on them.
Oh for heaven sake! Crystal is wrong to blame you. The only way to get anywhere without turning your back on the little ones is to herd from behind, and in this instance that would mean forcing the little squealers to go ahead of you toward the Bread Man who they were terrified of.
