unopened orchid

Right now these look like asparagus in the woods. Not sure I would have noticed them, but they have a single pin-striped leaf (sort of like a hosta leaf) that appears in fall and stays all winter. I accidentally came across a picture of the leaf somewhere and found out it's an orchid called putty root or Adam&Eve. Then the leaf disappears and a flower stalk emerges.
Lovely!

Hi Françoise - your Get Pushed partner here. Well aren't you the difficult one to choose for! Your delicate touch and feel for nature make it a real delight to browse through your project. For your challenge, my first thought was to ask you to shoot some urban grunge, but that would have been a sad waste of your natural talents... so my challenge to you for GP-96 is to shoot a minimalist landscape. I hope this suits you...

This is really not what I expected but it is fascinating. Not much like a hot house orchid at all
