No, he's not dead, just sleepinng in the middle of the road. The chicken was curious, I think. He used to always be out there, then about 3 years ago, a neighbor across the big road (not this road) started calling animal control and Snowball was locked up in the barn. I didn't even know if he was still alive. But, last week, he reappeared, looking quite a bit older and still liking the middle of the road. For black and white light and shadow fortnight.
This is really interesting to see. Our dog loved lying in the middle of our dirt road on Beaver Island -- and probably would have liked it in the city if it weren't for traffic! This image works so well with the chicken curious about the dog.
Very interesting shot!Lovely light and atmosphere! That chicken works like a great pointer to the dog and expresses our curiosity.Maybe he wanted to be seen or picked up by somebody?
Love this! It made me laugh ... great shot, especially with the chickens! It's a great photo without the animals... pretty road, fence, trees and light... but the animals make it even better. I would be chasing those chickens around trying to get shots; love chickens!
What an amusing capture. It's like you've stepped into an alternate reality (where dogs and chickens have taken over the streets :-). I love the mood that the fog gives. It makes the shot more surreal.
