Taken on the way home from Charlotesville. It's so nice to be home for bunches of reasons: Normal, useful life pursuits. A well-earned rest from looking at antiques, collectibles and crafts. Food cooked in our own kitchen. The dog. The incoming snowstorm, which they're now saying is supposed to dump 12 inches overnight. Joe decided to spend the night at his sister's since she only lives a couple miles from where he works. So I'm alone at home doing unusual things like cleaning the refrigerator at 11 pm. There are so many things I want to do that I feel vaguely paralyzed. Luckily the snow will reduce the options... homework and shoveling come to mind. Ugh homework! Let's hope that this week (which is the break after all) I can get the work done quickly and efficiently without all the drama I manufactured last week.
Truly gorgeous Francoise! I can't imagine getting tired of going through antique shops in that part of the country!!! I DO understand what you mean about being paralyzed because you don't know where to start the list of "so may things to do"! You're probably back in a nick of time!

Such a calm, such a sense of peace. Yet when I read your narrative I wonder what the drama and pressure and homework is that compels you to clean your refrigerator in the middle of the night???
