Remains of the Garden

photographed during the remains of the day... There is an amazing amount of produce still being produced (I can see onions, a few unharvested butternut squashes, tomato, lettuce, the rogue volunteer cherry tomatoes over on the right, a whole lot of chinese asparagus beans hanging, some absurdly healthy swiss chard, the edge of the crazy sweet potatoes, some as-yet unharvested red beets and the place where the fall peas are starting to grow). And this is just the right hand side of the garden. My days have been long this week and full of evening commitments to boot, so I was sort of happy to have a word-of-the-day that inspired me to walk over to the garden and look at it! Will visit it more intimately this weekend. During which I'll also be catching up on "smiles", "fiery", and "making yourself scary"
Hello Francoise! I alway enjoy your project but haven't had time to comment as much lately (I shared the busy, craziness of long weeks!).
I like this photo and wonder what you do (besides eat fresh) with all the produce you must collect from your garden.

Who's got not only green fingers but green thumbs as well?!!

@thewatersphotos well, the sweet potatoes and the squash will keep well in the basement. The freezer is full of beans and I have about 25 quarts of tomato sauce also. Mostly, though I just decided that everything I picked would get eaten right then and there. Luckily, the zucchini didn't produce endlessly like last year. Some years I make pickles or salsa, but didn't this year... I may yet freeze some green peppers, but mostly I treat the garden like a supermarket: go out and get food for dinner.
