Back from work, not far from my house... I was touched by these poppies! I love their colour and the way they are growing despite the barbed wire! The countryside in this sunny day was so wonderful...

What a lovely image! Poppies are so delicate and so beautiful, it's good to photograph them as their life is short! This entire photo makes me smile... Our neighbours in Nova Scotia are leaving for Italy today for their annual 2-month visit there. They ADORE Italy and I look forward to seeing their photos and hearing stories about their visit when they return!

Thanks a lot Louise! I really love poppies! When I was 3 or 4 years old a teacher told me to open a poppy bud and to see the color of the flower inside... it would reveal me the sex of my child: male if red, female if pink, twins if white! The one I have opened has to have been pink!
