I live in the Raleigh NC area. I love it here - the old Agricultural South meets the High Tech 21st century. There is plenty of history in these places.

I needed a hobby and have admired photography for some time. My wife supplied the missing ingredients - a little time and a DSLR. This project is me figgerin' it all out.

Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8g
Nikon AF-S DV Nikkor 55-200 f/4-5.6G VR
Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro (Motorized, but the can be autofocused)

As of 7-16 my camera is on the way for warranty replacement and the Sigma lens gearing is dead. We will see what the future holds.

As of 8-13 my camera has been replaced with a D5100.
