Struggling for ideas today so decided to spin by my favourite corner cinema the Hyde Park. Really a cornerstone of Leeds cultural life. This fella in the flat cap was waiting outside - it turns out for a friend of mine quite by chance. They were meeting the staff there to help them start up a local cinema club. Anywaaay I invited myself along so got a sneak view into the projection room. See extras: http://365project.org/fueast/in-the-woods-an/2012-05-03
Really interesting gatecrash.
Will be awol for the next few days. Got a 5 day weekend booked off work. Yay! Off camping to the Lakes. Just wanted to say thanks though for all your lovely comments on my photos from the North Yorks trip. Really very appreciated. Have a great bank holiday weekend!
Smashing photo with oodles of atmosphere. Having spent many happy hours in the Hyde Park this really grabbed my attention, but I've tagged it as a favourite for purely photographic reasons. Bravo!
@reciprocity Its the one which is specific for the olympus - or maybe for any micro 4/3 system? To be honest I'm not sure if I understand how the conversions are made to normal SLR focal lengths....
Been there!! Fallen asleep in the late night viewing. Don't remember it being so photogenic but then I wasn't 365ing! then. Spooky you two sort of knowing each other!
Great shot! and i love the way the man is standing outfront =)
Looking forward to seeing your pictures from the Lakes, one of my most favourite places to be! im jealous, have fun =)
Lol, now I know how you got that other shot...guess I should view them in order ;-)
This is brilliant! Love the processing and the chap with the flat cap!
Have a great camping trip, Alison. I am itching to go somewhere for a mini break as the glow of latest NY trip didn't last very long - killed by the drudgery of work Ugh! Bring back lost of pics!
Hi Alison: this is going back a bit ... 1980s. The Hyde Park as I remember it is my idea of what a cinema should be, for all that the radiators were too hot to touch and the focus generally left a lot to be desired. I'm now based out Keighley way.
