If you remember me from back in the day you might remember that I like a scrawny hawthorn sitting alone in the landscape. They make such ace shapes, arching in the wind. I guess there would be more of them if much of the land wasn't used for sheep grazing as you can see in the background. This was a non-grazed part and there were wild orchids, pansies and cowslips in the grass. Lovely contrasts with the walls and fields behind. Spent 8 hours online marking today. Good grief.
