Bird watching

This weekend is the annual RSPB garden birdwatch. The idea is to choose a patch ( e.g. your garden) and record the maximum number of each species seen in a chosen hour. Over the years the numbers have varied from 1 to 11 species. We see far fewer birds at this location compared with the old house despite there being plenty of trees and bushes - plenty of pigeons and starlings, but far fewer small birds. We see plenty of species, but less often and less commonly.
