@offgrid7 i believe i had only a UV filter in the lens that time. The star appearance of light is because of the tight aperture: http://photo.stackexchange.com/questions/6605/why-do-light-sources-appear-as-stars-sometimes

@jarrettbates you should. I don't know where you live, but if you enjoy beaches and a hot climate: Rio is the place to go. But it's a big city. If you prefer a more calm surroundings an interesting site is Ouro Preto. If you are into adventure, go for Manaus, near to the Rain Forest (never been there).
