Smithills hall is a grade 1 listed building in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The first written records relating to the hall began when William Radcliffe obtained the manor in 1335. Regarded as one of the most haunted buildings in the area, Smithills Hall has had more than it's fair share of ghosts and haunting.
The figure of a lady dressed in clothes from the 1500s has been seen in the hall, and also on a staircase. This lady seems to have a cheeky sense of humour as visitors have reported being pinched on the bottom by her!….. Ghosts, malarky!
This is fantastic! Love the pov! By the way, Lee, I invite you to check out my January 22nd photo. I am not a "ghost hunter" by any means. But, I've gone back to the cemetery repeatedly and have never been able to get this kind of "angelic" image since. Here's the link: http://365project.org/kareenking/365/2013-01-22
Wonderful shot Lee. I love the tone and texture. I used to go here quite a lot, a day in Manchester shopping with the wife and then to Smithills to eat. Do they still do the terrific lunches.
