End Of The Windmill. by gamelee

End Of The Windmill.

In the next day or so this pub will have gone. In its place will be built a two-storey apartment block.
Always very sad when a local closes. When they also get knocked down even sadder. Great B+W here though, full of depth.

Awww, glad you've captured it before it becomes history. Lovely pic, the B&W seems quite apt! - Lucy

Nice photo Lee, is that a flash of yellow still on the sign? (By the way, I'd give Queen David a wide berth - where'd that come from, I thought 365 was immune to spam)

@boltonboy Yes, Its a little Selective colour on the pubs name sign. I've reported the spam message and will delete it as soon as they've seen it. Thanks Stew.

A nostalgic capture in b&w with the subtle selective colour on the sign Shame these old places have to make room for the often not so appealing new !!

This works well in B&W with the selective coloring! Nice shot!

Such a sad but beautiful shot. My great great grandfather built a pub in Darfield in Yorkshire in 1876 and I have a photo similar to this as his pub was being demolished. Made way for, would you believe, a car park!!!

For some strange reason, I could frame that.
