High Street. by gamelee

High Street.

The snow covered fell in this photograph is known as High Street.

High Street is a fell in the English Lake District. At 828 metres (2,718 ft), its summit is the highest point in the far eastern part of the national park. The fell is named after the Roman road which ran over the summit.

If you look closely you may be able to see a group of walkers on the left of ridge, they're just a series of dots.

I took this photo in February while walking there.
Beautiful scene. I love how the water seems to mimic the pattern of the mountain behind it.

Yes I can see the tiny walkers. What a remote part of the country. Love it, presumably that is snow?

Goodness those people look tiny, certainly gives a sense of scale. Really like that hint of pink in the sky.

Amazing scene. Interesting story too. I can just about make out the walkers in the distance. They look like ants.
