Inside Hall i' th' Wood, an early 16th-century manor house in Bolton, Greater Manchester. One part was let to Samuel Crompton during the 18th century, where he designed and built the first spinning mule.
wonderful photographic rendering of this room. I love all the detail in the wood - each plank unique, the double geometric patches of light from the window, the patterned ceiling and the stone windows - all captured so well. And I must say, that furniture takes it place a good deal better than any screen would do!
