I went back to check on the goose nest I saw a couple of days ago only to be meet with disappointment. Instead of sitting on the nest, the goose was standing to the side just looking at it and as I watched she went back briefly and pecked around the mound of feathers and nesting that was there. Then I saw the trail of fluff and feathers leading away from the nest ( see picture in other album). Not sure if this was human or predator caused, but it did leave me feeling rather sad.
