The last few days I keep seeing lots of bee pictures posted and I've added a few of my own. I'm not really sure if this is another, it appears beelike to me but it's so tiny. The flower it is on is only about 1/3 to 1/2 inch in diameter ( That's probably between 6 and 14 mm for those who prefer those units of measure).
Great shot.. and your right it isn't a honey bee. There are so many species of "bees" and fake bees its hard to identify them all. This most likely is a hover fly which you could look up on the internet. These little guys are hard to catch!
