Today and Tomorrow

Morning glory flowers have a life span of a day. Opening in the morning, by early afternoon they start to fade and close in on themselves. By the next day, they are just a limp little rag hanging on the plant, to be replaced in the spotlight, by the next bud in the line.
I caught these two, in the afternoon, a couple of days ago. The one on the right, on it's way out, the one on the left, preping for it's big entrance the next morning.
Lovely composition. I keep looking at my morning glories and wondering how one gets a nice photo of tubular flowers. You've done it here!

@aecasey I've been thinking it would be fun to try focus stacking, looking down into the throat of one of these flowers, but it would take some time and effort and I think you'd need quite few layers for a deep flower like this and I haven't had much time for set up etc. these last few weeks. Maybe some time in the future.

Beautiful. I have tried the focus stacking a couple of times. Pretty difficult. I always miscalculate one stack and there is an odd oof area.
