About 12 years ago, when I was younger and feeling more spry on ladders,I installed this on the top of the bird feeder pole. Over the years it has hosted a few families of wrens but, in the last few years it has deteriorated and, no doubt, also become messy inside and hasn't been selected by any nesting birds. I kept meaning to get it down but the trip up a ladder to pry it off was not too appealing. Looks like the squirrels finally did the job for me.Now I just have to get up the courage to replace it with a new one.
