Young Cardinal

He's getting his bright red chest feathers. Soon he'll be a handsome new male.

I think Cardinals are territorial so I wonder if he may have to move to a new area since this is his father's territory.

I love seeing these guys, but California is not cardinal territory. Interesting stage of coloring. He must be so confused!
