I wonder if there are birds who watch others go in and out of this "cage" and think "that don't look like a safe idea!". Great capture of these two flighty birds who can be a challenge to photograph.
@lyndemc It’s been interesting watching the birds and squirrels come to terms with this cage as a feeder. At first most try to stay outside and just stick their heads in to grab a seed but over time as they run out of close-to-the-edge seeds they lean in more and eventually end up going right in. By now most of the usual visitors go inside quite easily. The jays are the exception because they are big enough and have long enough beaks to reach most of the seeds from the outside.
