We visited Truckee Thursday to escape the valley heat and visit the sierras again. They have food trucks and stands, artisans, live music, a beer garden, merchants selling a variety of items and children's activities. Everyone is so friendly and in a festive mood. Lots of dogs for our little Sophie to meet. She was very popular and it was a nice evening activity.

Wonderful shot. I love flags. On our honeymoon, we knew nothing about the Truckee River but it sure followed us wherever we went!

@danette It sounds like you had a wonderful time! This year it is exceptional...although the fire between Yosemite and Tahoe made it a bit Smokey...fires are so destructive! And I feel for the displaced, frightened and hurt animals too.
