Lawrence Argent 1957-2017
At Sacramento International Airport “Leap”, a suspended 56 foot long steel and aluminum red rabbit debuted in October 2011. The well known artist and sculptor, Lawrence Argent, was born in Essex, England and was raised in Australia. Sadly, he died at the age of 60 following a surgical procedure on October 7th.

Nice on black.

Sad to hear about that. But you've crafted quite a lovely appreciation for him.

Pretty cool airport art!! The only art I noticed on my trip was a big old-fashioned airplane hanging from the ceiling at Midway in Chicago.

Many thanks! Since turning Sacramento Airport into Sacramento "International" Airport, they have done upgrades and added art installations. JD Powers has announced that our airport (SMF) ranked highest among medium sized airports in North America when it comes to customer satisfaction and terminal facilities (airport accessibility, baggage claim, baggage check, security check, food, beverage and retail). I am just glad it is on the smaller side and has nice artwork!
