Katniss was abandoned when her family moved and left her behind. She was on her own, I found out later, for at least 6 months. We think Katniss is a Maine Coon, known as the gentle giant. We celebrated her third birthday on the day she came to us for help. It was a stormy night when she found shelter in our garage on March 12th (in 2016). We are the lucky ones!

My Johnny Cat is now 13 years old....we rescued him when he was 10 and abandoned at the rescue......no-one wanted to adopt an older cat........he is such a little dear......
