Laughter
is the brush
that sweeps away
the cobwebs
of your heart.
...Mort Walker

Sophie was out in the yard foraging what the squirrels may have dropped. I think she went underneath and behind the redwood trees and came out looking like this...with a cobweb stuck to the top of her head...silly girl. You are not a swiffer! But mom, I was just trying to help!

Been saving this one...Nice on black.

It took me a while to work out the angle. Cute.

Poor thing -- webs don't really become her, but had to laugh at imagining her coming out from under with this attached.

@365projectorgjenfurj Thank you...with her dark eyes and black fur, it can be a challenge. :)

@Weezilou @suzanne234 @casablanca @bigmxx Many thanks! I do not think anyone would appreciate Sophie wearing this as a fascinator! :)
July 9th, 2018
@louannwarren @henrir Yes...I made sure no spider was hitch hiking on her. Thank you! :)

@fbailey @ribbet9 @4rky @olivetreeann @madeinnl

Yes, I bet Sophie could find many dusty places in the house with as much time as I devote to 365! However, not as big as this once rather large cobweb! Thanks so much! :)

@pyrrhula @edorreandresen Thank you! Yes, Sophie can be difficult to photograph at times with her dark eyes and fur. :)
July 9th, 2018
@ulla Thank you! In portrait mode the rug looks more abstract than it really is. :)

@farmreporter @claudiet @taffy @radiogirl @bkbinthecity @stownsend @fayefaye @joemuli @jacqbb @maggiemae @carole_sandford @craftymeg

Many thanks! I am glad there was no spider attached. Thank you all for your comments. Sophie is a sweetheart. :)

@yogiw No spider...I made sure! Yikes! Something I think about with Katniss going in and out of bushes outside...what could be lurking in her long thick fur...especially a black widow! Double yikes!
July 11th, 2018
@gardenfolk Do you get ticks there? That’s what scares me.
July 12th, 2018
@yogiw You can but not too common...more in the mountains and hiking in the brush, I believe. My dog got one from Malibu many years ago and Sophie got one once...that is all in over 40 years. However, I went on a hay ride when I was about 10-12 years old and came home covered with 10-12 crawling ticks! I was screaming! And we missed one that attached to my scalp! Yikes! A funny story now but not at the time!!! :)
A black widow would be worse for me because I heard if you are allergic to bees, then probably poisonous insects and bugs too!
