If history repeats itself
I am so getting a dinosaur. (says most little boys)

Well, when I was a kid, we started back to school after Labor Day in September. They had the song "See You In September" by the Happenings in 1966. Now all the kids in Sacramento have already started back to school. So, our California State Fair, which was always held from the middle of August to Labor Day has moved up one month in hopes that families can take their children before school begins. Last year our State Fair had a fun dinosaur display plus interactive activities about dinosaurs. We told our grand boys about it and they were so excited. When the 6 year old, who knew all the dinosaur names walked in and saw the animated dinosaurs he said, "Oh man...I thought they were going to be REAL! He was so disappointed. Maybe we should let him watch Jurassic Park and that might change his mind. :)
Our children are all in school too. Crazy how much the start and end dates have changed. This is a cool photo even though your grandson wanted real. Lol.
Ha ha, yes - watch Jurassic Park and he'll never use an outdoor toilet again LOL!! Loved those films, scared the life out of us!! Loved your story. What a great exhibition. There are some children's story books in England - don't know if they are in the US - called Harry and his bucketful of dinosaurs. We loved the books. Apparently they are a cartoon now but we always prefer books! Lets your imagination choose.
