I had to repost! The bunny hopped off of 365 and kept on running until the photo disappeared. I do not know what happened but I lost all your thoughtful and caring comments and favs.
One of the lucky ones...a wildfire survivor. Run, bunny, run! The hare is a ray of hope and I want to change my focus to thankful thoughts but its hard when I feel and can smell the fire. With all the loss of life and devastation that continues, its nice to see something survive.
I love this shot - great action captured! I hope he is a symbol of survival- there are so many animals who have died alongside the huge number of people! Just heartbreaking! My thoughts and prayers are sent to all those suffering.
The devastation caused by this fire is just horrendous. I'm sure that the what we see on the news is only a small portion of the horror. But out of horror there is always hope and it's good to see that this little fellow survived.

The fires are unimaginable to comprehend. The destruction of the physical as well as the spirit will take years to reseed and rebuild. I pray for all affected. Fav

@Weezilou Thank you, sweet Louise. The air quality in northern CA is temporarily the worst in the world so I still worry about everyone living outside. And, I hope that hare can still find something to eat after surviving the fire. Precious people, animals and wildlife are suffering.
Unfortunately Paradise had a lot of older retired folks living there and between the fast moving fire with little warning and their age, many have perished...some much loss and heartbreak before the holidays.
Thank you all for bringing the hare back to life again...and for 4rky for rallying the troops! I was overwhelmed by the positive response when I lost the photo. Thanks to YOU!

Thank you so much. I cannot think about how much wildlife perished in the fire. I focus on this survivor...a glimmer of hope.
