Twenty six miles across the sea
Santa Catalina is a-waitin for me
Santa Catalina the island of romance
romance romance romance.

The visit to Catalina wasn't long enough for me. We were only there for 3 days and the first day, I didn't feel well and was so tired. I needed to nap on the afternoon we arrived and crawled into bed very early that evening. The next day was perfect weather and fantastic with the 3 hour golf cart scenic tour, lunch at the Blue Water Avalon and walking to the Casino and Descanso Beach. We picked up salads later for a simple meal. The next day I was looking forward to a tour of the Casino and visiting the Catalina Museum for the centennial of Wrigley, Jr. purchasing the island and its history. After lunch, we would stroll the shops and maybe find a piece of arts and craft Catalina tile to take home. We were going to return to Long Beach on the last ferry of the day at 7:45pm and fly home at 10:45pm. Instead, we found out the wind was increasing in strength and that we needed to leave on the first ferry at 11:30am because the other ferry rides were going to be cancelled for the day. I was in tears and not ready to leave.
