It Was A Triumph by gardenfolk

It Was A Triumph

It was unquestionably the finest
as well as the largest bridge
of its kind built until that time.
Both structurally and architecturally
it was a triumph.
...David McCullough

I think this is a beautiful bridge located between Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky. It is named for the civil engineer who designed it, the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, which was completed in 1867. The bridge proved to be an engineering marvel and the first of its kind to employ several new bridge building techniques. This bridge is a U.S. National Historic Landmark. I loved it.

Happy Flag Day too!

Served as the prototype to Roebling’s celebrated Brooklyn Bridge too. It’s so pretty here. I love seeing it from another eye. Can’t wait to see the rest of your pics.
