Day 8 and final day in Cincinnati. We had a fabulous breakfast again at First Watch. We then drove back downtown to Rookwood Tile to see their showroom. We were both so disappointed that they are moving away from their art tile and going into dinnerware. So sad.
Next Sandy took me to Elm & Iron, the cutest home goods and gift store. A great place to browse. After that we went to Holtman's Doughnuts, a quaint shop which was opened in 1960. We purchased a few doughnuts to sample. As we were driving back to my "home away from home", we saw more Cincinnati neighborhoods and homes. Our final stop was at Busken, a 24 hour bakery that is just down the block from where I was staying. Oh my goodness, baked goods galore...cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, sheet cakes, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls and bread, rolls, bagels and their signature happy face cookies, etc...the biggest selection of everything in one place. I am glad I don't sleep walk! Haha!
Sadly, then it was time for me to pack everything and get to the airport to head for home. I had such a good time and there is so much more to see that we are talking about a repeat Cincinnati 2.0. Thank you Sandy for the best time!!!
This trip took place in April but I needed time to go through all the photos I took. Then other things came up so I posted 12 photos in June, 25 photos in July and 25 photos in August...and I wish I could have posted even more. Thanks to all that followed this journey on 365 with me and checked out my trip to Ohio and Kentucky.
I'd like one of those donuts right about now but oh no, so many carbs. 😄 I miss you CC. Can't wait to come out west to see you next. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with you though. 😆

One of my best friends in Kazakhstan is from Texas and she’s blaming the cookies back home ( I think she prefer the ones from Pittsburg ..) for not being able to lose weight. Your collage shows me the temptation she’s up against !
