I wish people would leave white lights up year round. They look so pretty. This is someone's home in the area of Sacramento called the fabulous 40's. We do not get snow so I added it as my wish for a light snowfall. Nice on Black.

So pretty. I really like the lights on houses, too.

Very nice effect. Iā€™d love to key the lights on year round, but today had to take them down. Kind of sad. Fav

I guess they would run up a huge electricity bill - so better to enjoy them when the Christmas season comes around. I agree - they do look very pretty.

I think that's why the patio lights have become so popular.

Wow, you had me for a minute there. When I saw Sacramento - and then I saw snow - I was confused. Reading closer I now get it. Duh. So I'll say cool effect!

So beautiful! I also like the shining Christmas lights very much. On the other hand, there is so much light pollution ... Maybe it's good to use additional lights only for limited duration. When the illumination stays something special, we probably enjoy it much more :)

Very pretty- the snowfall is totally believable! I like the lights too and wish they'd stay up at least through the winter. Some restaurants have them all year long. They're always so cheery in the dark and cold nights.

A lovely shot! For the last couple of years white lights have been left on the gates through the medieval city walls until the end of February.
