Tis days before Christmas
and all through the house
It looks quite ransacked
to even a mouse
The stockings aren't hung
by the chimney you see
They're still in a box
with the skirt for no tree.

I am sooo not ready for Christmas this year and time is running out. Yikes! I was able to hang my ornaments from the pot rack, the one bright and festive spot. No tree, no lights, no packages or cards mailed (yet) and baking, wrapping gifts still to be done. Looks like it will be New Years cards and gifts instead...better late than never. Happy first day of winter!
Beautiful decorations. We haven’t been highly motivated to decorate either, but I found that sending the cards....many by email with photo attached, was a very cheering activity.
